OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, November 13, 2019.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  We especially continue to pray for Kelly Chang, Audrey’s mom, who will be undergoing surgery on Monday.  We pray for a successful surgery and a full and complete recovery.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 2:15-16
It is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.

Thoughts on today's verse:  What does the world most need to hear from us today?  Doing good, being like Christ, we can live for him who died to conquer death. He renounced absolute heavenly freedom so we could find it. We are free to serve others, and most of all to serve God.

Holy Father, you have freed use from sin, law, and death at the cost of your precious Son.  We open our hearts to you today to say we love you and want to thank you. Please accept the actions of our lives, the words of our mouths, the thoughts of our minds, and the emotions of our hearts today as our offering of thanks. In Jesus name
we pray,

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which is stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, November 12, 2019.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Job 37:5-6 - God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'

Thoughts on today's verse:  Isn't that a beautiful phrase! "God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding." Rather than spending a lot of time talking or thinking about how marvelous God is, let's praise him in prayer.

Holy, Righteous, and Eternal God, You alone are truly and fully holy.  We cannot comprehend the distant outskirts of your ways. But we love you. You are so far beyond us on our best days, we can't quite understand why you would pay such a cost to redeem us. But, Dear God, we thank you.

Amen.

Monday, November 11, 2019

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, November 11, 2019.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.  Today, we especially pray for our veterans.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

In every age, You call certain persons to defend the human family from oppression, tyranny, and evil.  Since our founding as a nation "conceived in liberty," countless American men and women have stepped forward to defend from aggressors, our country and many others, and to liberate those held captive. Today we revere and thank all our veterans and we read a special prayer by Joanna Fuchs.
Dear Lord, Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.  We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us.  Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression.
We respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them. We pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness.

As we pray,

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, November 8, 2019.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 1:18  'Come now, let us reason together,' says the Lord. 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Nothing stains quite like sin. It not only leaves a stain in our heart but a residue in our minds. But by God's grace, the stain is removed, the guilt is taken away. We are clean by his grace.

Prayer:  O the joy your grace gives me! I can never thank you or praise you enough for rerouting my life so that it will end, and begin again, in you. As we pray:

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, November 6, 2019.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:9-10  He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus is Lord! God's plan was purposed in Christ. It centered on Christ coming at the right time. God's plan was to bring unity in Christ by making him Lord of all!  God is the only saving God and Jesus is both our Savior and Lord. So the real issue we face today is this: What area of our lives, our hearts, our secrets, our sin, our rebellion, have we not submitted to his lordship?

O Precious Father, we know our hearts can be deceitful. At times we can even fool ourselves. But when we kneel in your presence and are convicted by your Word, we find ourselves reminded of the areas we have not yet fully submitted to your control and Jesus' lordship. Please, dear Father, use the Holy Spirit to gently show and convict of our self-deceptions so that we may be wholly lost in your will.
In Jesus' name we pray,

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which is stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
