OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Friday, November 18, 2016

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, November 18, 2016.  Please stand for prayer.

Morning Offering – We offer our Special Prayers for Coach Halley, who is undergoing surgery at this time.
Lord Jesus, in you all healing is performed. You Lord are the miracle worker. In your Spirit, your gift of healing is alive. In you Lord we can put our trust that you can heal.  You, Lord are miracle worker for the sick.  You cleanse us and make us born again new. You give us a clean heart full of peace. You Lord are the Light.  You Lord are our medicine. Your Words Lord are Truth and Life.
Help us put our trust in You. You Lord are the greatest physician. You heal, You protect, You care, You love, You are kind, You are patient, You are thoughtful, You are strength. You Lord are our Creator.
We honor you today and acknowledge your power and your authority.
You are our Creator, and you are the one who provides our healing.
We come to this prayer time seeking your protection and your provision during Mrs. Halley’s surgery.
By faith, we believe that your victory is going to be with Coach Halley during her surgery and then into the recovery room.
By faith, we believe that you are accomplishing awesome things for Coach Halley through this surgical procedure.
We come before you this day thanking you and praising you for everything you are doing to bless Mrs. Halley.
In Jesus' name we pray,
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

We continue to focus on the gift of MERCY.   Those with the gift of mercy are reluctant to speak against any person, regardless of what they have done. The danger of course, is that they may not speak up in times when they should confront evil. Mercy must always be balanced with justice. God is always merciful, but it is equally true that God is always just.
As we pray Sister Catherine McCauley's Mercy Consecration Prayer:
O compassionate Jesus, look on me today with tenderness and give me the grace to walk on the path of mercy marked out for those who follow you. May all I do today reflect your merciful love. Amen.

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

Please stand for prayer.
A very special thank you to our OLA students for attending the visitation services last night for Mrs. Halley’s grandfather, who passed away this past weekend.  Let us continue to keep Coach Halley and her family in our thoughts and prayers.

Morning Offering – We continue to focus on the gift of MERCY.   Those with the gift of mercy are very sensitive to statements and actions that may hurt others. They often react harshly if their friends or family members are rejected or hurt in any way. They may respond in a defensive and even angry way if they sense that a person is doing something that may injure emotionally a person they love. They are very sensitive to criticism of others.
As we pray Sister Catherine McCauley's Mercy Consecration Prayer:
O compassionate Jesus, look on me today with tenderness and give me the grace to walk on the path of mercy marked out for those who follow you. May all I do today reflect your merciful love. Amen.

Our Lady Academy Youth Legislature
Our Lady Academy Youth Legislature delegation departed for Jackson on Wednesday November 9 to join 17 other schools and 400 other students at the annual YMCA Youth Legislature.  OLA took 4 officers: Kloe Campbell-Lloyd, Candi Gordon, Madeline Samson and Alia Tayara as well as 7 delegates.  The OLA delegation wrote 4 bills to be debated and voted on.  Of the 4, 3 made it to the Youth Governor's desk, but as with the real Legislature, the process can be frustrating and none of our bills were actually signed into law.  However, Lydia Cates was awarded MOST OUTSTANDING COMMITTEE CHAIR.   This is an award given to the most prepared, organized and efficient committee chair of the conference.  There were 16 committee chairs, so this is a great honor.    Junior Youth Legislature for 7-9 grade will begin having meetings in February and will travel to Jackson in April to do it all over again.

At times they may clash with those who have the gift of exhortation, who are able to se benefit in suffering. Announcements for Monday, November 7, 2016

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Monday, November 7, 2016

Good Morning OLA!  Today is Monday, November 7, 2016.  Please stand for prayer.

Morning Offering – We continue to focus on the gift of MERCY.   Those with the gift of mercy have an ability to sense genuine unconditional love and to detect expressions of love that are insincere or hypocritical. They have a greater ability to be wounded themselves; they are highly vulnerable to feeling emotional pain. Those with the gift of mercy are very sensitive to statements and actions that may hurt others.
As we pray Sister Catherine McCauley's Mercy Consecration Prayer:
O compassionate Jesus, look on me today with tenderness and give me the grace to walk on the path of mercy marked out for those who follow you. May all I do today reflect your merciful love. Amen.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which is stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
