Congratulations to the following:
Ø  OLA junior high track team for finishing their season with a dominant performance at the St. Patrick track meet. They are meet champions.
Ø  OLA softball team on beating Collins in a double header 20-2 and 18-3.
Ø  OLA archery team for shooting their best score of the year at Pass High, a 3112, with two girls shooting 50's.
Ø  OLA Golf team on placing third as a team at the Gulfport Lady Admiral Invitational Golf Tournament.  Callee Breland made the all tournament team 3rd place with a 77 and Kati Albright shot an 89.
Great job to all.

TOMORROW is a Late Check-in Day, The building will be open at 8:00 a.m. for all non-driving students.  Once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to leave.  Parents may drop off students at other locations and students can walk to school for 9:40Our Lady Academy students are not allowed to be on the SSC campus during this period of time.  Students must enter through the courtyard and report to the Commons.  Students will not be allowed to leave the Commons until 9:40, please make sure you get what you need from your locker before leaving school today

LATE CHECK-IN DAY
Wednesday is a Late Check-in Day, The building will be open at 8:00 a.m. for all non-driving students.  Once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to leave to walk to Mockingbird or other locations.  Parents may drop off students at other locations and students can walk to school for 9:40Our Lady Academy students are not allowed to be on the SSC campus during this period of time.  Students must enter through the courtyard and report to the Commons.  Students will not be allowed to leave the Commons until 9:40.  If you need anything from your locker, please make sure you get what you need from your locker before leaving school on Tuesday

Congratulations to the OLA Golf team on their play at the St. Martin tournament at the Sunkist Golf Club.  OLA came in second as a team shooting an 89 with Callee Breland coming in second as an individual with a 43, and Kati Albright came in third as an individual with a 46. Great job ladies.

There will be an Ambassador Meeting at 7:45 tomorrow morning in the Resource Lab. 
OLG Fish Fry, every Friday during Lent (except Good Friday), from 5:00 to 7:00.  $10.00 per plate.  For more information, please see flyer in office window.

This Friday, March 23 at 7 pm in the Small Dining Hall, the SSC Drama Club will be performing scenes from the play "Check, Please!" a story of blind dates gone terribly wrong.  The show will also include improv with audience participation, musical perfomances, and magic.  We request a $5 donation at the door, with proceeds going to Klagetoh and Amatongas.

Hope Haven School Supply Drive:  Please bring in school supplies like notebooks, pens, folders, glue, etc. to donate to the Hope Haven Center for abused and foster children. The class that brings in the most will receive a donut party the day we get out for Easter Break! 

ACT
Mr. Gemelli is offering an Advanced Strategies for the ACT Preparation Course.  Classes will be held at OLA in Room 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9th through Thursday, April 12th.  Please see the flyer in office window for more information.

MS Soil & Water Conservation Youth Camp – Scholarships:  This is a great opportunity for students going in to 10th - 12th grade who are interested in natural resources, to be held June 3-7 at Hinds Community College. Cost per students is $100, and the District will provide scholarships for two students to attend.  Deadline for registration to attend this camp to the local office, is April 20.  See office for Youth Camp application

We have a special prayer request from our Superintendent with the Diocese of Biloxi, Dr. Mike Ladner.  Dr. Ladner is asking for prayers for his family. .
Dear Colleagues:
I come to you today with a heavy heart.  My family is in dire need of Prayer Warriors.  My great, great nephew, Collin, needs your prayers.  Many of you remember my niece Stacey who passed away in 2010 when only 44 years old.  Stacey was Ashley’s mom and Collin is Ashley’s son.  The little fella is only 7 years old and was looking forward to making his first communion this year. 

We have well over 4,000 prayer warriors in our schools including faculty and staff. Please, please pray for him and all of us.

Raffle Basket Tickets are officially on sale!  Please see Ms. Chapman for raffle tickets. Remember if you sell $40.00 in raffle tickets you will be able to wear Nike Shorts, OLA T-shirt, and closed back shoes on May 11th.  If you sell $100.00 worth of tickets you will be eligible for 1/2 day at the beach on May 11th.

The class selling the most tickets will earn an off campus field trip on May 3rd.  Location TBD!

Hope Haven School Supply Drive:  Please bring in school supplies like notebooks, pens, folders, glue, etc. to donate to the Hope Haven Center for abused and foster children. The class that brings in the most will receive a donut party the day we get out for Easter Break! 

ACT
Mr. Gemelli is offering an Advanced Strategies for the ACT Preparation Course.  Classes will be held at OLA in Room 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 9th through Thursday, April 12th.  Please see the flyer in office window for more information. 

Campus Ministry is selling pura vida bracelets!! They are one for $6 and two for $10.   

Camellia Queen Pageant
The Mississippi Queen Scholarship Pageant to be held Saturday, March 31st at the Beau Rivage.  The pageant is open to young ladies between the ages of 15 to 18 years, the winner will receive a $500 scholarship to the college of her choice.  For more details, please see flyer in office window.

MS Soil & Water Conservation Youth Camp – Scholarships:  This is a great opportunity for students going in to 10th - 12th grade who are interested in natural resources, to be held June 3-7 at Hinds Community College. Cost per students is $100, and the District will provide scholarships for two students to attend.  Deadline for registration to attend this camp to the local office, is April 20.  See office for Youth Camp application

Very important message.  Students, please remind your parents to NOT drop-off or pick-up in the faculty parking lot, which is behind the community center, nor Union Street.  All students should be dropped-off or picked-up via the church parking lot. 

If you have lunch money or registration paperwork, such as course selection forms, please bring to the office.

Let us offer our special intentions as we continue to pray for Coach Halley, Mrs. Bennett’s husband and their families. We also pray for success during this week as we take our exams:
Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.  Your love surpasses all fear.  I give you the anxiety I feel,
I surrender all my worries to you.  Clear my mind, Calm my heart, Still my Spirit.  Relax my being that I may always glorify you in everything I write, speak and do.  We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
