Amen.

We also give special thanks for this past school year:
God of wisdom, We thank you for all the gifts you have given us throughout this school year. We praise you for giving us life, for saving us in Christ, and for choosing us to be your people. As we come to the end of this school year, we voice our gratitude for the good things you have done in us, and we praise you for all who have shared in the work of this school. We ask you to bless them in your love and give them refreshment and peace. We praise you, God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever.  Amen

IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Summer Service Hours:  Just a reminder that you can begin working on next year’s Service Hours over the summer.  Hours earned over the summer will be due to be turned in during early September.  What counts for service hours?  They should be completed through work done with a designated 501cs charity organization.  Private, for profit businesses, and individual persons do not count.  Dance schools, babysitting, concession stands do not count.  

There are many opportunities through the church vacation bible schools over the summer.  If you have questions or are looking for opportunities, see Mrs. Patton or Mrs. Mayer.  Let’s get busy, Crescents, and make a difference in our communities!

OLG VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is June 4-8, you can earn 20 Service Hours and it’s a lot of fun! If you’re interested, please see Mrs. Corr before leaving school today.

There are black trash bags next to the lockers, all lockers must be emptied by the end of the day today. 
The Junior National Honor Society is collecting gently used school supplies, place these items in the red boxes in the hallways.  You will not be able to leave school today until all lockers are emptied and cleaned out, including the front of the lockers.

Student Parking:  There is NOT assigned student parking. Teachers have the first ten spots on either side and seniors park next to that area. After that ALL parking is first come, first serve.  Once students arrive to school in the mornings, they are to come inside the school building.  Students are not to stay in their cars, or in the parking lot.  Your car will towed if parked on the grass surrounding the parking lot.  The ONLY grass area that students can park on, is the area along the fence closest to the railroad track.

Juniors, there is a class meeting to hear speeches for class officers next year.  It will be a lunch in Mrs. Bartels' room on Wednesday.  Please get your lunch right away and come room 19.
Please see Mrs.Bartels if you are planning to run for an office and sign the sheet on her door.

Student Council:  Elections for new class representatives and officers will be held this week, those running for an officer position will make speeches this week. 

Testing this week---
Attention all students: AP testing will be held in the Resource Lab in Johnson Hall.   Please be quiet outside of St. Joseph and Johnson Hall. Teachers, please help remind student about testing.  Testing should end around noon today. Please be quiet when entering Johnson Hall for ICT.

OLA Sports:
Tryouts
Volleyball tryouts are this week in the OLA gym from 4:00-6:00.
Basketball tryouts will be May 14 through May 18th (all week) from 4:00-6:00
Everyone must have a physical on file with Mr. Langham before they can tryout for either sport.

Celebrating their birthday yesterday was Camille Martin.  Happy “Belated” Birthday Camille!  Celebrating Birthday today are Mrs. Julie Cranford, Isabelle Gelpi, Marguerite Gelpi and Olivia Gelpi.  Happy Birthday to ALL!

OLA Sports:
Tryouts
Volleyball tryouts are this week in the OLA gym from 4:00-6:00.
Basketball tryouts will be May 14 through May 18th (all week) from 4:00-6:00
Everyone must have a physical on file with Mr. Langham before they can tryout for either sport. 

Attention all sailing team members: The sailing awards convocation will be 6 PM TONIGHT at the SSC College Café. Please check the Activity Board or OLA Bulletin Board for additional details.
IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Student Parking:  There is NOT assigned student parking. Teachers have the first ten spots on either side and seniors park next to that area. After that ALL parking is first come, first serve.  Once students arrive to school in the mornings, they are to come inside the school building.  Students are not to stay in their cars, or in the parking lot.  Your car will towed if parked on the grass surrounding the parking lot.  The ONLY grass area that students can park on, is the area along the fence closest to the railroad track.

Student Council:  Elections for new class representatives and officers will be held this week, those running for an officer position will make speeches this week. 

Summer dual enrollment with PRCC is now open to Juniors and Seniors for the summer session. Please see Mrs. Gelpi in the guidance department for more info about dual enrollment!

Students, if you have lunch money, please bring to the office ASAP.

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, May 9, 2018.  Please stand for prayer. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:
Let us offer our special intentions as we continue to pray for Collin Bales, Coach Halley, Mrs. Bennett’s husband and daughter, and their families.   In Jesus' name we pray,
Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Today:  Tennis state Championships in Oxford. Paige Palazzo, Claire Escher and Isabel Wolf are competing

AP Testing this week---
Attention all students: AP testing will be held in the Resource Lab in Johnson Hall.   Please be quiet outside of St. Joseph and Johnson Hall. Teachers, please help remind student about testing.  Testing should end around noon today. Please be quiet when entering Johnson Hall for ICT.
