OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Thursday, February 27, 2020

Good Morning OLA!  Today is Thursday, February 27, 2020.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

Matthew 22:37-39  Love the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Living for Jesus can be boiled down to two principles: love God with everything we are and have, and love others and treat them as we would like to be treated.

O Living and only True God. Please accept the work of our hands, the words of our mouths, the moments of our rest, and the love of our hearts as our worship to you this day.
 In Jesus name we pray…

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Please remain standing for the Pledge:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which is stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Friday, February 21, 2020

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, February 21, 2020.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

Proverbs 17:9  He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

Thoughts on today's verse:  "It's just a little harmless gossip." The Wise Teacher reminds us that gossip is neither little nor harmless. Its consequences are huge and its damage horrible. Instead, it is much better to be a peacemaker and an offense-mender.

Father, give us the character not to repeat gossip, but instead have the wisdom and strength to be an offense-mender.

Amen.

Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, February 19, 2020.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

1 John 4:11-12   Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

Thoughts on today's verse:  What an honor it is to have the Creator of the universe, the Lord God Almighty, living inside of us!  When we love each other, that is exactly what happens.

Father, it is so comforting to know that you are not far away - that we live in you and you live in us. Help us see others with your eyes, and respond to their needs with your heart, so that your love may be complete in us.

Romans 8:38-39   I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is ours in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Separation is something we fear; but we will not be separated from God's love.

Father, thank you for loving us. Thank you for giving us the promise that nothing can separate us from your love. Please fill us with your Spirit and make us more aware of your accompanying presence in our lives.

Amen.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers.

Romans 8:35-37   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Conquerors! We win!! When you open up the final book of the Bible, Revelation, that is the message - Christians win because Jesus is the one true conqueror. No matter how the battle is going for you right now, remember that in the end, we win!

Prayer:  God Almighty, thank you for securing the ultimate victory for me by raising Jesus from the dead. I know he is coming with victory on the day you have determined, but I pray that I may live victoriously for you until that day.  In Jesus name we pray…

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Friday, February 7, 2020

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, February 7, 2020.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers, as we continue to pray for Mrs. Pigott’s sister Michelle.

Psalms 97:10  Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Evil is here because of the Evil One -- the champion of hate, lies, and death. So when evil rears its ugly head, let's be courageous and oppose Satan and his work.   Through our Savior we pray:

Wednesday, February 5, 2020

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, February 5, 2020.  Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Let us offer our special intentions for those in need of our prayers, as we continue to pray for Mrs. Pigott’s sister Michelle.

Psalms 33:4-5  The word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.

Thoughts on today's verse:  God is faithful. We can trust his promises to be kept and his purposes to be good. The sunrise each morning is a reminder that the Father of heaven and earth is at work keeping his universe in working order. If it is true in nature, it is true in the spiritual realm as well. Greet each sunrise as a reminder of God's faithfulness.

Amen.
