Mrs. Elise Cuevas has a box of "lost and found" in her room (Room 17).  If you are missing a sweat shirt, lunch box or anything else, come take a look and retrieve your belongings.  Anything left after Thursday will be donated to good will or thrown away.

10^th Grade Service Project

The sophomore class is holding a school supplies drive until the end of the school year.  Donations of slightly used or new backpacks, lunchboxes and various school supplies are appreciated and will be personally delivered to the children of Honduras.  As you are cleaning out at the end of the year, please consider donating new or lightly used backpacks and lunchboxes, colored pencils, pens, folders, binders, glue, construction, graph, and lined paper, notebooks, scissors, rulers, erasers and index cards.  Breakfast will be awarded on the last day of school to the class that brings in the most donations.

OUTSTANDING FEES

All outstanding Fees must be paid in full as soon as possible.  This would include Tuition, Lunch and Athletic Fees.  Please check the office window for outstanding lunch charges.  There are several students that owe fines for Saturday School.  Any student will outstanding fees will not be allowed to take final exams.

Underclassman Awards, Art Show and Chorus Presentation (Must Wear Mass Day Uniform)

TODAY, at OLG Community Center.  Students receiving awards must check-in with Mrs. Hinson between 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.  Art Show Parent Viewing from 5:30 to 8:00, awards presentation starts at 6:00 p.m.  You MUST wear your oxford shirt with OLA skirt.

Rewards

8th grade WATER PARK reward Friday May 19.  You will need to arrive to school on time as busses will be leaving promptly after prayer and announcements.  The busses will return back to school before end of day dismissal.  You may wear Nike shorts and OLA t-shirt over your bathing suit.  You do not need to bring your backpacks to school.  You will need a tote with a towel and sunscreen.  You may have your cell phone but you are responsible for any damage that may occur while at school or on field trip.    Lunch is provided but you will need to bring money if you want extra drinks or snacks throughout the day.  For questions see Mrs. Guichet or Ms. Chapman.

Summer 2018 Overseas Trip

Would you like to spend 10 day next summer touring the Capitals of the British Isles?  Ms. Chapman is putting together a trip for the Summer of 2018 and will be hosting a mandatory informational meeting for parents and students tomorrow (Wednesday, May 17^th) at 6:00 PM in the Commons to provide more details and answer any questions you may have.   Hope to see you there!!!

Those who sold $30 worth of raffle tickets may wear Nike shorts and an OLA t-shirt with shoes with backs. 

Those who sold $100 may also wear Nike Shorts and OLA t-shirt OVER their bathing suit and shoes with a back.   Remember to bring a towel and sunscreen.  You must wear your Nike shorts and t-shirts to the beach but can then take off.  You must wear shorts and t-shirt back to school.    The beach is for 6th, 7th and 8th periods only.

National Honors Society is hosting a book drive for the Hancock county library! Please bring in books that are slightly used or new and place them on the table outside the teacher's lounge.

10^th Grade Service Project

The tenth grade is promoting one last service project before school lets out for the summer.  Margaret Spencer White, the sophomore class president, will be taking part in a mission trip to Honduras this summer and is asking the OLA helps her and her class to send backpacks and school supplies to less fortunate children.  As you are cleaning out at the end of the year, please consider donating new or lightly used backpacks and lunchboxes, colored pencils, pens, folders, binders, glue, construction, graph, and lined paper, notebooks, scissors, rulers, erasers and index cards.

Class Officer Elections

Attention 8th graders...if you are interested in running for class office for the 2017-2018 school year please sign up on the sign-up sheet on Mrs. Cuevas's door. We will have a class meeting Monday in room 17 during lunch to give speeches.   Voting will take place Tuesday during lunch.

My dear Lord Jesus, I come to you now to be restored in you, renewed in you, to receive your life and your love and all the grace and mercy I so desperately need this day. I honor you as my Lord, and I surrender every aspect and dimension of my life to you. I give you my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I cover myself with your blood—my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I ask your Holy Spirit to restore me in you, renew me in you, and lead this time of prayer. In all that I now pray, I stand in total agreement with your Spirit and with all those praying for me by the Spirit of God and by the Spirit of God alone. Amen.

Calling All Ambassadors:

Six ambassadors are needed for tomorrow, from 5-8 to help setup, serve and cleanup for the Senior Awards Banquet. Please see Mrs. Gelpi right after school if you can help. 

Late Check-In

TOMORROW, OLA will have a Faculty meeting from 7:40 until 9:40.  The building will be open at 8:00 a.m. for all non-driving students.  Upon arriving on campus, all students must report to the Commons, please enter through the Courtyard as all other doors will be locked.  Students will not be allowed to leave the Commons to retrieve items from their lockers.  Once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to leave to walk to Mockingbird or other locations.  Parent may drop off their child at other locations and students can walk to school for 9:40.
