ACT Prep Class

Mr. Mike Gemelli will once again be offering his Advanced Strategies for the ACT preparation course at St. Stanislaus. The course will run consecutively from Monday, October 12 thru Thursday, October 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm each evening. OLA Sports

Tickets for the JV/V home game tonight against Vancleave will be on sale from 9-12 in the office today.

Tickets for the junior high home game vs. central Gulfport on Wednesday, September 30th will be on sale today from 9-2 and tomorrow from 9-12.

The JV and varsity teams will both play at home tonight vs. Vancleave. JV at 5:30 and varsity will follow.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES

School Mass Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a School Mass, all students must wear their oxford shirts.   Those students who have 1st or 2nd period at SSC, DO NOT report to SSC tomorrow morning.  Instead, 1st period Band and French students will report to Mrs. Sutherlin’s classroom, room 16.  2nd Period Physics students will report to Mrs. Fucich’s classroom, Room #14.  Mass will start at 9:55, parents can view mass live-streamed via the OLA Facebook page. 

ACT Prep Class

Attention ALL students and staff!  You will need to complete your menu choices for the month of October.  You must complete your lunch order NOW between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m., the link will become inactive at 8:46 a.m.  Even if you are NOT planning to eat in the cafeteria, you will still need to complete the form.   All Students and Teachers, check their email NOW and complete the form!

The JV and varsity volleyball teams both beat West Marion high school last night. They are now both the undefeated district 8 champions!  The varsity will play in the Gulfport tournament on Saturday.

The junior high volleyball B team beat Bayou View in 2 sets and the A team lost in 2 sets.

Saturday: Swim team will compete in the Demourelle Meet at the Biloxi Natatorium.

-Varsity volleyball will play in the Gulfport High School Tournament.

-Cross Country team will compete in the Ocean Springs Invitational.

Math Path

Math Path will begin next week on Tuesday, September 15th from 3:30-4:30 in Ms. Ashley's classroom. Math Path is every Tuesday and Thursday after school and is a great way to get a little extra help in math. Ms. Ashley will have a sign-up sheet outside her door. There are only 10 spots available each Tuesday and Thursday and you must sign up no later than 8th period on the day you plan to attend. 

Students who are in the Diversity Sisterhood should bring donated items for Our Lady's Catholic School to Mrs. Bush's classroom today! 

The National Art Honor Society will meet after school on Monday, September 14th, in Mrs. Bush's classroom.  If you are unable to attend, please notify Mrs. Bush or Suzie Brown.

The JV team beat Biloxi in 2 sets. The varsity lost to Biloxi in 5 sets.

TOMORROW is a “Late Take-In Day” school will start at 9:30, first bell rings at 9:20. (Note, the start time is different than previous years) . The building will be open at 8:00 a.m. for all non-driving students, please enter through the Gap via the Courtyard. Student will not be allowed to leave the Commons to retrieve items from their lockers, so please do so before leaving school today. Once students are on campus, they will not be allowed to leave. Parents may drop off students at other locations and students can walk to school for 9:30. Students are not allowed to be on the SSC campus during this period of time.

OLA Sports

Both the JV and Varsity volleyball teams beat Jefferson Davis County last night. And the Junior high volleyball B Team beat Bayou View.

Tickets for the volleyball game against West Marion on Tuesday, September 8th will be on sale today in the office from 9-2 and Tuesday from 9-12. OLA students will still get in the game for free but you must pick up a ticket from the office.

Saturday: JV/V Volleyball Play Day at Gulfport High School.

Sisterhood Emails

All new to OLA students, please check your email. Mrs. Pigott sent an email to each of you yesterday afternoon letting you know which sisterhood you are in and where your sisterhood will meet this afternoon. All returning students, Mrs. Hinson has placed signs around the building letting you know the location for the sisterhood meetings. Please be sure to check the signs before this afternoon's meetings.

Hurricane Relief Fundraiser

Teachers please be sure to send the list of participants for today's free dress to the office.

No School Monday

There is no school on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.
