Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, April 16, 2021. 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Romans 13:8 - Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

Thoughts on today's verse:  He paid a debt and I owe one. Thank God I don't owe the debt for my sin, but I owe others the same love, respect and grace with which God has treated me!

Holy God who owns all things, we thank you for not just owning us, but for having bought us out of slavery, sin, and death.  Please kindle love in our hearts through the Holy Spirit so we will love others as you do. In Jesus' name we pray……

Pearl River Community College is inviting Seniors who are interested in attending PRCC to attend their “Get Onboard” event on Tuesday, April 20^th.  Seniors who plan to attend MUST stop by the office to pick up their free ticket.  For more information, see flyers posted on Mrs. Mayer’s and Ms. Patton’s doors. 

Help Stewardship Sisterhood celebrate Earth Day!

Earth Day 2021 Class Contest - Next Friday, April 23, 2021

Class decorates shirts to wear with jeans depicting the assigned theme to care for the earth and her resources.

Donate $3 to participate

The class with the most participation and creativity will receive a Popsicle party in the courtyard at lunch.

All proceeds will be donated towards a water refilling station for Our Lady’s Catholic School.

Class Themes:  7^th Grade – Reduce

8^th Grade – Reuse

9^th Grade – Recycle

10^th Grade – Water and Air

11^th Grade – Animal Life

12^th Grade – Plant Life

TOMORROW  we will be having a schoolwide “ORANGE OUT'' for Abby Bosarge. You may wear an orange shirt, orange accessories, with your SCHOOL SKIRT, and school shoes (or Orange Shoes if you have them). In order to participate, you MUST bring in $3, and we strongly encourage you to donate more if you can! LET'S DO THIS FOR ABBY!!

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, April 14, 2021. 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.   

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 

Romans 3:23-24   All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Thoughts on today's verse:  “We blew it!" We don't measure up. We're not divine. We might be decent, but decent won't do. Only the divine, the truly righteous, make it past the grave in glory. Thank God that grace is freely given and the price for our sin was paid by Jesus. While we "blew it" he renewed it!

Kind and Loving Father, thank you for being so generous with your grace. May we be as passionate for your righteousness as you were in redeeming us from our sins. Through Jesus we ask this. Amen.

Luke 9:23-24  Jesus said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
Thoughts on today's verse:  We do not "find ourselves, our life" by pursuing it. We find it by losing it to something or someone greater than ourselves. We find our life be losing it to Jesus and the work of his Kingdom.

Master and Maker of all that lives and breathes, take our lives and use it for your glory. May our words and actions this day be pleasing to you. Through Jesus we offer you this prayer and praise. Amen.

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Monday, April 12, 2021.

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.   

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Romans 5:6-8   At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Thoughts on today's verse  Jesus died for us, but not because he had some high hopes for who we are or what we would be. No, he died for us because he knew exactly who we are and what we would be without him. But praise be to God, we are now God's righteousness because he took our sin and gave us God's grace (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

Holy God, thank you for Jesus, my Savior. No words are adequate to express my love and devotion to you for such an incredible gift! Through him I give and live my thanks to you. Amen.

As many of you may know, our former OLA sister, Abby Bosarge, has been struggling with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We all know how tough a sickness like this can be, so we must show our support for Abby and her Family. On FRIDAY APRIL 16th, we will be having a schoolwide “ORANGE OUT''. You may wear an orange shirt, orange accessories, school skirt, and school shoes. In order to participate, you MUST bring in $3, and we strongly encourage you to donate more if you can! LET'S DO THIS FOR ABBY!! 

School Mass Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a School Mass, all students must wear their oxford shirts.   Mass will start at 10:00, parents can view mass live-streamed via the OLA Facebook page.

Good Morning OLA!  Today is Thursday, April 1, 2021. 

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week. Jesus celebrated the dinner as a Passover feast. Christ would fulfill His role as the Christian victim of the Passover for all to be saved by His final sacrifice. Today, we pray for Holy Thursday.

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord God, You sent your Son into the world, And before his hour had come, He washed his disciples’ feet.  You had given all things into his hands.  He had come from you, and was going to you, And what did he do?  He knelt down on the floor, And washed his friends’ feet.  He was their teacher and their Lord, Yet he washed their feet.  Lord God, help us learn from his example; Help us to do as he has done for us.  The world will know we are his disciples If we love one another.  Strengthen our hands and our wills for love And for service.  Keep before our eyes the image of your Son, Who, being God, became a Servant for our sake.  All glory be to him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever.  Amen.
